Blacklabel Tennis is a tennis blog written and edited by V Blacklabel, a passionate fan of the pro game, amateur photgrapher and recreational player. Originally writing about tennis as a contributor to The Rally Cap, he started this tennis blog when he found himself enjoying it just a bit too much.
While following tennis is not his day job, you wouldn't necessarily know it. He is diligently working to achieve the career spectator slam having attended the Australian, French and US Opens. Wimbledon is on the docket. He's also attended tournaments in Key Biscayne, New Haven, Los Angeles, Newport, Barcelona and Madrid.
Having blogged the 2011 US Open for fun, V Blacklabel made his way to Spain to cover the 2012 Madrid Masters as official press, participating in press conferences and nabbing exclusive interviews with WTA stars Christina McHale, Varvara Lepchenko and Bethanie Mattek-Sands along the way.
The blog combines original long form content, tweets and on occasion syndicated stories. We may even have some fellow fans and maybe even writers and players contribute at times. Not being a professional journalist, we won't pretend to be purely objective. We'll call 'em as we see 'em. We'll be right, we'll be wrong and hopefully we'll all have a little fun reading and commenting along the way.
